This collection of paintings, painted en plein air at historic Schweikher House in Schaumburg, Illinois, was exhibited at Prairie Center for the Arts in 2023 and at Schaumburg Public Library in 2024. The architecture and the grounds complement each other in their simplicity and serenity. The peony collection is locally renowned for its 35+ flowering varieties.
The Schweikhers and the Langsdorfs both gave considerable energy and effort to making the home, studio, and landscape a joy to be in, and I hope my paintings honor their legacies.
